Don't worry, you make up the difference in selling us oil so you can afford a higher MSRP.

I've been shopping around at a few BMW dealerships to get the best price on an X6. I was at a dealership today and the salesman handed me the new pricing/options sheet and this package was listed and it said effective June 1, 2008. This new package was listed for the 35i model but not for the 50i model.

It doesn't include the Adaptive Drive and didn't give you the option to purchase the 456 Multi-contour seats. It looks like you would have to order the ZAV Active ventilated seat package to get the Multi-contour seats.

Interesting. No mention of this on the web site or in the brochure.

IMO, what makes the X6 and real performer is the difference between the $2,000 sports activity package and the $3700 sports package. The $1700 gets you adaptive drive with dampening control and anti-roll stabiliation.

Not much need for this technology in a 1 or 3 series, but as the car size increases along with weight it becomes crucial to have.

Actually the difference is $2650. Sports Package is $3,700 plus the $950 for the 20" Wheels. Sports Active Package come with the 20" Wheels.

If I do purchase the X6 it will have the Sports Package rather then the Sports Active Package.

Thanks

Wonder why BMW did that. There must be some other hitch the dealer is not telling you. They never have offered sport seats separately. At least not in the U.S.

Edmunds.com is now listing the ZAP - Sports Activity Package as a option on the X6 35i. Still no ZAP option listed on the BMW web site. MSRP $2000

Actually not true on 50i model. I had to pay the increased prices on the 50i model as well which I believe was an additional $250 ($100 more for premium package, $100 more for Sport package and $50 more for destination charge). They said any cars that have production date that is scheduled after June 1st have to pay the price increases. At least that is the case in the US.

Sorry Shenard, I was actually responding to chuck92103 (Link to article?) and should have included the original quote in my reply. I was reponding on how I found out about the new Sports Activity Package being offered in the US X6 35i. My salemans said if you want to save some money you can order the Sport Activity Package for $2000 which include the 20" wheels. Sports Package is $3700 and an additional $950 for the 20" wheels. Sports Activity Package doesn't come with much unlike the Sports Package. Basically, I was just trying to explain the Sport Activity Package is something new to the Package list for the US 35i model and isn't the same as the Sport Package.

My salesman did inform me that there were a few price increases, $50 Destination charge, $100 for the Premium package and $100 for the Sports package but I wasn't referring to this in my reply.
