2010 x5m purchase question

thinking about a 2010 x5m with 32000 miles on it. is 2010 a good year, any specific issues to worry about. are they reliable ? asking price is $44500, good price ?

That price seems a little high given its a 2010 (i.e. Pre LCI). If you have the VIN you can post the last 7 digits and we can check what packages it has.

I got an '10 lci, it is as good as an '12, no differences.. only in the later models you could have led headlights, could... (Euro only?)

I just traded in my 2010 X5M with 61,000 miles on it. all four dealers I got quotes from in Knoxville, TN, gave $29,000. The advantage for your vehicle is that it can be warranted. If you get it, get an extended warranty. I had a transmission failure after warranty ran out, and then had 2 fuel injectors fail. (I had replaced transmission and all 8 fuel injectors, cause at the time I planned on keeping it, but that didn't help resale Value)

Sabredog,
I have been looking for about two months. This forum has been very helpful. I have a tread in which I post the link to the truck. I thought i had the perfect truck, color and package combo, but was advised that the under carriage had rust so I am staying clear. Because of my limited choices in the south, I am looking nationwide and I have several sites that I use. cargurus, carsforsale, iseecars and bmw website. You can get some good info on those sites. Like previous price drops and how long they have been for sale.

Would not get a 2010 unless injectors are replaced ...that is a given in this year model
