Windscreen Wiper Noise

So my city just hit 1 degree C and it started to snow. I turned on the wipers and I noticed that I can hear a ticking noise coming from the passenger side foot area. It ticks every time the blades go up and then again when they go down. Has anyone else heard this ticking noise? If you drive a X6 next time your in your X6 try the wiper blades and let me know if you can hear the ticking noise. Turn off your radio though or you might not hear it.

Thanks!

Its the relay for the wiper. I mentioned it when vehicle went in for service and they said it was normal. Put the wipers on rain sensor function and you will notice that you hear the click every time the sensor calls for a "Wipe". All I can say is turn the radio up !

Too bad I did not check here first..

Dealer just called informing me the noise is "normal" and another X6 they have in the shop does the same thing.

What is odd is that my salesperson (in another state) is driving a X5D right now and reports that he does NOT have the noise.

I personally think it is annoying and I don't understand why the X5 doesn't do it as well.

Mine makes the same clicking when on. Sometimes is louder than other times. M3 does the same but not as loud.
