BMW X6M LCI with Hybrid Engine Hood

Have you guys noticed the engine hood on the X6M LCI? It looks similar to the one on the X6 Hybrid.

Noticed that for sure. it is a nice touch for the LCI. I think that you will get that hood/bonnet if you order the M sport package on any model X6 you order for 2013... not just the X6M. Nice sculpted hood either way!

Is the M package something new for X6? I have only heard of the performance kit. I know that X5 always have one.

There was a perf power kit avail for the the X5/6 up until the intro of the new 8 speed auto. The current perf kit for the X6 is just cosmetic (like the X5). However.... the new M Perf package...

The new M Performance Package
As an additional option, the M Performance Package is available in the US. This attractive equipment package is not just cosmetic. It includes an engine upgrade of +15hp and +30 lb-ft of torque on the X6 xDrive35i giving it 315 hp and 330 lb-ft. The increase is +40 hp +30 lb-ft of torque on the X6 xDrive50i for total peak output of 440 hp and 480 lb-ft. In addition, the M Performance Package includes 20-inch light alloy wheels, black chrome exhaust tips, stainless steel pedals, M foot rest and door sills, shadowline exterior trim, anthracite headliner, and optional Carbon Black metallic paint.
