Buying a X6 M in Canada

Hey guys,

I'm dealing on a 2012 X6 M here in Sask Canada. Loaded with 7,200kms. The lady who owned in never drove it in winter and put 3,600kms a year on the vehicle.

They are asking $80,000 for it, or 83,500 with CPO. Vehicle was originally purchased June 2011 so warrany would expire June 2015. Ive done some research and the price to me seems pretty great. Haven't found another even close in kms or price. Closest I found used was a 2012 with 19,000kms for 89,950.

I will likely keep the vehicle 2yrs, 3 at most.

Am I getting a good deal? Should I buy the CPO for $3500? Anything I should have them check before I buy the vehicle?

For perspective, going price for 10/11MY with ~50k is around 75k in Toronto I have seen so far... So for sure you are getting a great deal.

you should be able to get a brand new 2013 for close to that. that does not sound like a good deal to me.

For 2011 and new models BMW CPO says in bold Extension of the new car warranty. Is this true? Ive read online about CPO and they all say its a rip off, but if it continues the same warranty as it currently has I think its a good deal.

Anyone have info on this?

^Biff, this is Canada, everything gets more expensive here.

I say this is a fairly good deal, as for CPO, if you aren't planning on keeping the car for long, than it will probably not benefit you at all.

Yes anything that it is 2011 and up is an extension of the original warranty. So would definitely buy it.
I can confirm this as i work at the biggest Bmw Dealership in Montreal and just got a 2011 X6M last month.

Yah I bought it. Was more wondering about the 3500 for CPO. Didn't know if it is worth it as I've read the CPO coverage doesn't match the factory warranty.

Should be picking it up today, probabky toss in my velos tune next week

Actually if they did not mention this to you, CPO on a 2011 automatically becomes an extended warranty.
There's no CPO per say on a 2011.
You'll love the truck!!
It's amazing. Just installed the Power dome hood as well as the LCI taillights.
Now all i'm missing is those LED headlights and i'm good to go. Though i refuse to pay the kind of money those headlights are going for.
Springtime will bring on some 22's , Coils and an exhaust!
Enjoy it. And don't worry about the 250km you'll do on a full tank! lol

Yah I'm gonna enjoy it, had a 2008 x6 35i and loved it. Not really worried a out fuel mileage truck averages 13.4 mpg highway/city with 80% Highway. So x6m will be comparable. Just picked up a 2014 x5 M sport 35i for gf so if we go on a long trip we can take that.

Excited to mod this thing so I don't miss the F10 M5 as much.
