My 2013 X6 M PP

Guys , i'm going nuts here in Dallas Texas with my 2013 X6 5.0, here is the story .
i bought the car because i know it has the M PP ( M performance Package ) ZMX . according to BMW the 2013 BMW X6 ZMX Power (SAE)has an additional 40 hp than the Stock X6 so that puts this car at 440 hp and 480 ft lb of torque . so far so good , right ??

then i take my car to get the Dinan Stage 2 Performance Engine Software/Boost Upgrade at Classic BMW in Dallas . . so far so good too .

NOW i get a call from the service adviser 1st day saying they had an issue with the software and that they will leaving for the night and will finish it tomorrow . NO PROBLEM

then I get a call in the morning saying . OPPS . your car is too new for Dinan and they don't have that new software you got on your car . .

i call Dinan in California . a very nice guy name Jeff said no way . let me just call the dealership and verify .

he call me back and say sorry my friend your car is too new and wont get the upgrade at this time .

i say no problem . i will just go get my car and do it later . OK ??? its getting worse

i took the car and start driving . i felt like i'm driving 3.5 not 5.0 , the car is very weak and not alot of power . and started to Jump when i'm idle . i almost hit a guy in front of me . i said ohhh nooooo

then i call the dealership . they told me that :
1- the M PP dosnt have any extra HP that mean its only 400 hp .
2- they need to check my car again to make sure there is no issues with it

so i'm setting here looking everywhere for the ZMX PP and i see it all over the place that it has an additional 40 hp .

so Please help me .CUZ i'm going nuts here . PLEASE :dunno::dunno:

thanks

2013 BMW X6 Gets a Refresh, High-Output M Performance Packages. The X6′s front end has been tweaked to keep it more in line with the rest of the BMW lineup. Some new colors have been added to the palette and a new wheel design is available, too. We’ll leave it to you to decide whether this nip/tuck suits BMW’s 5000-plus-pound crossover. Adaptive LED headlights are now available as an upgrade to the standard xenon units.
More exciting, of course, is that BMW now will offer M Performance packages for both the turbocharged 3.0-liter six and the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8. Additional power comes as a result of cranking up the turbo boost; on the six, output rises from 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque to 315 hp and 330 lb-ft. (These are just a shade lower than the 320 hp and 332 lb-ft delivered by the Performance Edition package in the outgoing 335i, which featured the same engine; the difference is attributable to different intake and exhaust plumbing in the two vehicles.) The M Performance upgrade will increase output in the V-8–toting X6 xDrive50i by 40 hp and 30 lb-ft, for totals of 440 and 480. The package also includes aesthetic touches like 20-inch wheels, black chrome exhaust tips, and dark window trim.

Put the last 7 of your VIN into here: http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html

If you have the M Performance option, it will be listed.

I have seen people confused with M Sport and M Performance packages. One is show, one is go.

Ok, so here is what I think is going on. The power increas in the 2013 X5 w/PP was a software revision by BMW. Basically a stage 1 tune. Your engine is not the same 450hp version which is in the 550i, 750i and 2014 X5 - those engines have valvetronic and some other internal differences which accounts for the extra 50HP.

So it looks like Dinan did not consider their tune for the small amount of 440HP motors in the 2013 X5 w/PP.

thanks Steve . i agree on the 2014 X5 . and also agree on the Dinan missing the opportunity to take the 2013 X6 with M PP to the 590 hp with all 4 stages to put this car to be faster than the X6 M Stock .

so i guess we will have to wait on Dinan to get this software update pretty soon .
will see .

thanks again

I don't think those turbos can support 590hp, from what I have read, around 500hp they run out of steam, hence the bigger units in the M.

Is that what Dinan is telling you? 590hp??

Steve, what is the difference between the ///M turbos and the 50i units? just CFM?

(just wondering what it would take to upgrade the 50i turbos down the line)

Is this $$$$$$$$$$$ especially if u want dinan i spent $10k including labor when they had 20% discount and im still waiting for air intake to be release which will bring me to stage 5 and if u looking for more horsepower throw some downpipes. I think that will bring u around 550-560hp.
