X6M Owners Check Your Green Levy

My wonderful dealer in Toronto called me and told me that the green levy which I paid was calculated too high and that there is a rebate waiting for me! The original green levy was $4,000 on my car. This amount was a default number before they actually had time to correctly calculate it.

If anyone has bought an X6M/X5M in Ontario you should check your invoice and see how much that # was. You might get a nice rebate in time for Xmas.

The rebate was over $2,000

For those of us that don't live in Canada, what's a "green levy" ?
Is this a socialist tax similar to what US socialist call "gas guzzler" tax?

gas guzzler tax = your car doesn't get the mileage the appointed few have decide it should get so we are going to penalize you with a tax.

I think it is the same as a gas guzzler tax.
