straight pipe exhaust after DP's on X5M?

I did the muffler delete on the stock exhaust of my X5M, it sounds really good, not loud at all, almost an "exotic sound", my question is has anyone also had the what looks likes resonators removed and had straight pipe all the way after the DP's? if so, how is the sound?

I don't know how muffler delete only sounds, but catless downpipes increased the cold idle sound and give a slight drone when the truck is trying to be lazy by forcing itself into 6th gear even though it's going uphill. Any other time, it's fine.

IBS spoke with M6Beast (creator of MSR) and after listening to his exhaust videos (search for them on YouTube), I'm in love. He said he'd likely never make an exhaust for us, but he did recommend that I replace my muffler with Vibrant resonators (it'll look like the Challenge when done), which use purchased and have yet to install. I'm also going to add an x-pipe since the S63TU engine has one, yet we don't.

Well I had the resonators removed, so after the stock DP's its all straight pipe but no real difference from when the mufflers were removed, not loud at all, still really tame sounding. The 16 Mustang GT I traded in for the M was crazy loud with straight pipes after the cats... I guess catless DP's and JB4 is next :-/

Did you tie open the actuator arm on the exhaust valve as well?

There are no mufflers at all, I removed the mufflers this past weekend. I capped off the vacuum lines. After the stock DP's its all straight pipe.

There's a hardline that runs the length of the car and starts at the passenger side of the engine bay and changes to rubber before going to the muffer valves. Look in the engine bay and you'll see the hardline transition to a rubber line and feeds into a few T's behind the vacuum canister. Simply remove one of the T's, coil up the rest of the vacuum line into the fender and save yourself the headache in case you ever get reduced power warnings for a vacuum leak...that long line is where mine had an issue.

You should have posted videos with just the muffler, and you should post one now as the truck as. It could give me a good peak at what I know I will end up doing one weekend when I get bored.

Once you see the hard line coming from the fender, it's literally a 30 second fix by deleting one of the T's. If anything, just do it for peace of mind :-)

thanks man. Its not like not having a sound clip is going to stop me from hacking that thing off. Its in such an easy spot to remove. Then I shall see how I feel about the noise, if I like it, I will get a shop to run some pipe into the stock tips in the stock location, and keep it moving.
