Any Cayman owner?

Lately I fell in love with Cayman and can't stop building it on the website.
I would like to keep the budget reasonable as this isn't something we really need.

I think regular Cayman could fit me fine because I'm not a HP freak - I even liked S2000 more than E92 335i.
But when I was building them, a lot of options were much cheaper in Cayman S and when they are equally equipped, difference is about $5000 more for the Cayman S.

So my question to Cayman owners: is Cayman S much better than the regular?

My option list is

White Exterior
Beige Interior
20" Turbo wheel
Convinience pack
Sports suspension
Sports steering wheel
Sports Exhaust
Xenon light

Let me know of your thought.

Thanks!

I say go for the S. You could use less power if you don't need it but you could never increase power when you do. I personally would look into buying one that's a few years old- new gen, just 2-3 years old.

i was in your situation last year. ditch the options, get the S.

or, do not, absolutely do not, test drive the S. if you don't know what you're missing then you'll be fine.

i still ended up with a good amount of options and the S but that's part of where they get you. everything is an option and extra cost with porsche. it's effing worth it though.

i read on the porsche forums that you should get chrono because it adds some other features. i didn't get that and i have no regrets so that might be something worth looking into.

finally, i think if you find the right dealer, you can get 9-11% off depending on the time of year.

My only question is why not the Boxster S instead? Top down in one of those would be fantastic, just fantastic.

Wow 9-10% sounds great.
Yes, I'm little afraid to test drive the S and totally hate the regular but just like you said, if I don't try one I would probably fine with the regular. I'll update once I make a decision.

I thought of the Boxster but body line is just so much more graceful in Cayman form. But I'll see once I sit one in the dealer.
