Smile Joining the club!!!!

I put in my order for the x6m which should be ready by the end of December. Although this meant giving up the 335 which I really loved to drive, I cannot wait to get this car in.
Order: Carbon black/black perf seats/piano black trim and all the options except for rear seat entertainment and dvd changer (dont really see the need for that as an option anymore).

I was wondering for those that have purchased different wheels from stock, did you keep them or did your dealer buy them back at a reasonable rate. Really wanted the ferric gray but they were not going to work with me on the buy back.
Oh well, this in no way diminishes my excitement in actually confirming the order today!

Forget that damn sleigh Santa, you can use my x6m!
Any advice for a newbie to the x6 world? Thanks and look forward to years of getting advice from you guys.

I like my DVD changer because it allows a huge collection of music if you burn music DVD's in addition to the hard drive. But if you use an Ipod it becomes unnecessary I guess.

I like the stock rims on the M. They are very strong, and easy to take care of. They also look good going down the road. There is someone on here who was looking to purchase a set of the M wheels though.

Awesome news!

That's the exact color combo I would've chosen, except for swapping piano black for aluminum. The perforated seats are the perfect balance between comfort and support, they should really be standard! Good move on skipping the rear DVD, just be sure to get headphones for your kids. If you get lots of snow, maybe you can sell the oem tires and slap some snow tires on them, that way you got two sets ready. Oh and did you order the rubber BMW floor mats? They are actually very tough with a decent lip around to prevent spills; I have those on both my cars and highly recommend them.

Btw, if I dress up as Santa, may I drive your sleigh? I'll even put on a few pounds! Congrats again!

@hifiguy, thanks bro I am really excited about it, now just have to wait. I agonized over the interior choice for several days, and just wish they had more choices. I was really opposed to the carbon fiber and red grain, so I was only left with piano black and aluminum. I like the aluminum look, but several posts in other forums mentioned how easily it could be dinged up. So I was left with piano black by the end. Then I discovered that other high end cars carry piano black, so I thought it might add some class!!! Great idea on the rubber floor mats. I will have to get those for bad weather days. Here in West Texas, it may snow in the morning and get to 75 in the afternoon. You just never know....

@AudreyATC, looking at your set up for your 335, you are going to have to go to the x6m. I dont think you will be satisfied with anything else. Very nice car my man!

As long as it goes to production, I will have the VIN numnber for the paperwork, but I probably will not get it until January. So I may try to set up delivery at the performance center which would be really cool anyway. I heard yesterday that 2 other cars set up for same expected delivery went into production so I'm hoping that mine starts within the next couple of days. Santa needs to get on this!

Consider Hamann as well. Certain parts look very aggressive but very stylish. Check out my pics on my profile. Hamann bumpers front and rear...rear will vary since you have an M but still looks really good. That just my taste though.

Cheers

Congrats.

Make sure you order the right winter rubber mats. I bought the wrong one that doesn't have a decent lip to keep the craps in.
