Ooh ... I hope you guys won't bid it up past it's fair market value!

These cars are expensive as it is, and they are not immune to problems.

And don't forget the Manheim fees and transportation costs. That will add at least another grand to the auction price.

I realize this is an auction price but it never ceases to amaze me the abrupt depreciation of higher end vehicles. Sure the current X5M is a new design, but it's twice the cost of this one, a 3 year old, lower mileage, pretty much fully optioned example.

don't forget, this is at auction where most of the people buying are dealers. I'm sure this vehicle will be up for sale for $60k in no time

I'm expecting it to appear on the Toy Barn website in a few days. It's right up their alley, and relatively local.

Here it is, marked up only 13% or so - http://www.dennydotson.com/2013-BMW-...5/Details.aspx

CarFax shows no reference to the fact that it was bought at auction ...

That doesn't seem that bad in my opinion. You gotta figure they are shooting for a buyer at 55k. Once you subtract their costs, auction fees, re-detailing, insurance, transportation, dealers license, advertising, a brick and mortar place if they have one, photographing, sales commission, etc. that isn't priced bad.

Pax5, It is interesting to watch the process and thanks for posting this originally and following through.

We can't see attachments on the mobile version right?

If I was paying 57xxx. It would have to be certified. But 50500 I might consider it.

Keeping eyes peeled.

Nice you have friend at Manheim. (:
