X5 mysteriously missing freon
I brought my 2008 X5 in for the latest recall and noticed the mechanic drove the car for 11 miles. Maybe that's necessary maybe not. When I picked up my auto I noticed the air conditioning was set differently than how I left it. It was a pretty warm day, so I understand the need for air conditioning. The next day I put on the a/c and hot air, no cold air at all. Brought it back to BMW and they say I have a freon leak that they can't find. Refiiled with freon and it's cold now. COULDN'T FIND THE LEAK! Does this sound plausible to you guys.

Wtf! I brought my car in for the brake recall too an my A/C hasn't blown any cold air at all since! I didn't think it could be related but u got me thinking I should call them up now....
My car had a terrible smell (probably brake fluid i assume) after I picked it up from the recall service for the next day. |

Wow that's weird....it seems like our '11 X5M is missing freon too. It takes ages for the car to cool off, at least 10-15 minutes of continuous driving with the A/C on blast. I need to take it in this week I think.
