Exhausts on X5M

This a question I haven't had answered but I've always wondered if only two of the quad exhaust pipes work or if all four work? I'd feel kinda put down if BMW installed fakes...

All four work. But on normal power mode, without the m button pushed, the butterfly flaps on the two inner exhaust are open, which closes the two inner exhausts. The two outer exhausts work 100% of the time. To answer your question, yes all 4 exhaust pipes are fully functional
