This super car talk is stupidity layered on stupidity.
When you think of great BMWs you think of m3, 1m, m roadster, m coupe, m5. Do you or anyone think of m1 ? What we need is the small m car to be focused and punch above its weight while keeping us fans engaged (ie. Fun). What bmw needs to focus on Id making the m cars incredible fun again.

I understand why they need more SUV's - because the market is growing, etc.. And BMW's SUV's don't look that bad anyway. But FWD minivans and fugly GT's are unforgivable.
And before anyone brings it up, yes I'm aware that Merc and Audi build FWD econoboxes too but they also balance it out with $200k+ supercars and grand tourers. The 8 series (if that's what they're calling this car) will bring some much needed weight (no pun indented) to the top of BMW's lineup and balance BMW's brand equity against a growing number of cheaper models. |

I feel you buddy, but...
All of us dream of that day but that ship has sadly sailed. BMW have missed their opportunity and at this point with no profit and no real halo or image boost factor it would be a waste of rescources.
I say they should continue to focus on design and dynamics in their core range to catch up with tech and environment kudos. |

At about 2:05 in that video is that the 6 GT?
If it is about the same size as the current 6 that doesn't mean it isn't an 8, the F13 is bigger than the E31 and the E31 was about the same as the E34. |

It's huge but hopefully it'll be sleek like the original 8 or even the current 6. The 7 looks bloated and fat, so I hope it's not just a 2-door version of that.
