Opinions needed on x5 35d

Hi folks,

I just totaled our Highlander. Oh well. I was debating between a new touareg x tdi vs this car: http://www.bmwmtkisco.com/certified/...a3ef26336f.htm

Thanks in advance!

I think the one you have in the provided link is expensive for an X5 with barely any options.

Barely any options? It's got cold, lux, tech and seat packages. Also optional wheels.

If you filter on 2013 X35d's on the BMW CPO page you'll see the price on this one is right inline with other '13 diesels, perhaps even a little less. It also has most the standard/common packages other than Sport, but even then it has the upgraded seats and wheels.

Sorry to hear about your highlander. I don't know a lick about Toureg's but the X5 you linked too looks nice. I would prefer one with the Sport Package but otherwise it's got most of the common options/packages. The only one I don't see that most seem to have is the Premium Sound Package, but given it's a 2013 you don't have to worry about the old base audio system, this done will still have S676A - Hi-Fi sound. There are still many other options available on these vehicles but they are less common.

Oops, I stand correct. Apologies. For some reason, when I pulled up the link first time around, it did not show all the options you mentioned. Try to get one with a sport package though. The fender flares, 20" and upgraded steering wheel will make a big difference. I cannot stand the look of that standard steering wheel.

I went on cars.com and looked for what '13 CPOs go for, and it looks like there is definitely still some room to move.

Of course there is room to move, all these prices are negotiable.

And FWIW, I'm pretty certain the BMW CPO page has a better representation of BMW CPO'd vehicles than cars.com.

I feel that the BMW page is updated slower than the cars.com page. That's why I always check there first.

Most late model X5's for sale are at dealers. Ideally yes, buying privately would be more desirable as the costs are lower, but shopping just private sales will result in a pretty limited search, even if willing to travel.
