X6 hopefully delivered next week (fingers crossed)

Posted here once or twice before, but will hopefully get my baby next week. Spoke to sales guy today and he said X6 was in production. Paint is next, then assembly. Already have VIN# so was excited about that. I know newbies always ask, but in others' experience, what was average wait time between assembly and delivery? Thanks for any feedback.

BTW, currently drive Infiniti g37s, and love the car. Actually didn't like x6 when first came out, but it has grown on me. Now think it's sexy looking. Also want a bigger car without giving up too much HP. (37 has 330, getting 35i so going down to 300... not too bad) Plus can't beat a BMW. Always wanted one since I was a kid... Below are specs on new baby. Will post pics when get, of course.

2010 X6 35i
Alpine white, saddle brown int. Bamboo trim
Cold weather, Sport activity, Tech, running boards

2- 3 weeks depends on transporting finished vehicle from SC. X6 is heavier & awd so probably a bit slower than g37s. after engine break in, put gear in sport may make it as fun. Is adaptive drive included in Tech pkg.? Then it'll handle like unbelievable!

No adaptive drive. Didn't think it would make too much of a difference. How do you like it? Any noticeable differences with our without?

My wait time between the time it went into production and it arrived at the dealership was two weeks. I suppose it depends on where you're at. Congrats. I'm picking mine up in 1.5 weeks.

So I guess the both of you did not order the HUD? Cause I just ordered my X6 and they told me there was no HUD's left from the supplier or something. So now I gotta wait for 2011 model. Did you guys get the HUD?

No, didn't order HUD. Heard of some issues with it and didn't want to take any chances.

Thanks for the congrats beemerindo. Saw one just like mine tonight. Sat in my car and stared for a couple of minutes. Can't wait!

AD will let u rock without roll. Turn corners flat. Together w/DPC, can overtake most sedans on cloverleaf ramps. Easier on the stomachs of rear passengers too

I test drove a X6 35i prior to ordering mine and I was able to take turns like it was nothing. When my X6 finally came in, it did not feel tight and almost no lean as the one I test drove did in turns. That AD makes a big difference. I wish I would have ordered it now.

When taking turns, does it feel like you will rollover? Or is it more of a speed issue i.e. blowing past a car on an on-ramp?
