Should I sell my 435

Its been a year with my 435 and I am kinda bored with the car.

Anyway I am keen on an E70 X5M. I test drove one today and the power of the car is just awesome. It reminds me of my e92 M3.

Any thoughts on this option? I know that the E70 is now the previous model, but I will not be able to afford the new X5M and I don't think I will enjoy the other engine options...

I traded in my 2014 550 with M package for my X5M. When I saw the M in Monte Carlo Blue Color with every option, including rear entertainment, I knew I had to have it! I took a loss on the trade, but M is an M. Will never buy a non M car again!!!

How do you even compare the two? Both cater to two completely markets and use cases.

The 435 I'm sure given enough time will have an excellent aftermarket. Suspension, ECU tuning, exhaust bits, etc. That could wake up the car and take away some of that boredom.

Moving to an X5M, while a night and day difference from the 435; also comes with other baggage like higher repair costs and maintenance. Probably higher insurance too?

I think you need to determine first if an SUV/SAV is what you want over a sedan/coupe. Then from there, if the X5M is the one for you, or just a V8 X5 and upgrade that for less cost...

I'm kind of thinking of things from the other way around. Get rid of my '12 X5d and go to a M4, or just go test drive the X5 50i and make the move up.

Yes for X5M!

Why? Because it's more pratical than a Coupe car, and you have the Power of the M-Series

I had M3 E90, and now I have X5, but miss something.... the M Feeling... my next will be (E71) X6M!

you are crazy to think dropping a tune in the 435 will compare to the x5m stock let alone a tuned X5M... every time I drive the 335i or 435 loner I cant wait to get my vehicle back. other then the new navi those cars blow compared to an M... I don't think I can drive a non M car anymore. Other than the dated e70 interior I love my car. If you want a V-8 Mid size suv I would go with Jeep GC with the hemi.

It wasn't to say that a tuned car would match in power to an X5M, just that perhaps with some mods, it wouldn't be as boring. Reading comprehension...

Compare Apples to Apples. If you want a powerful SAV consider the X5M or Tuned X5 50. If you want more excitement just tune your 435. I've tuned my 135 to over 500hp for not a lot of money. Good luck spending less than $2000 and getting a X5 to perform the same.

there's something I don't miss anymore moving from 535 to X5M and it's rear seats lack of leg room, someone already said it's day and night, including your gas bill but even grinning is expensive these days!
