2012 x5 sport

Hi I have a 2008 x5 premium that I am trading in for a 2012 x5 black Safire I want to get the sport with the 20 in rims but I read bad things about them !! I live in new York so we do get snow how would this truck be in snow mine has 18 in and they go through blizzards !! I'm leasing it so I ant buying no tires 4 it !! And do they last the 3 years I own the car my truck has 30,000 miles on it and the tires are fine .. I can't see paying the extra for the sport to get the 19in wheels the 18in are nicer but I want the sport wheel and black headliner and I love the 20in thanks for any info I'm so confused

I went with a loaded up Premium model instead as the 20"'s are performance tires and not good for the snow. I am in NJ and thought really hard about it as I am leasing also and didn't want to buy a set of winter wheels.

The way I see it is like this: you will still need to buy a set of tires either way. You can buy a set now (like I did, got the Contis DWS for 214s) or you can buy a new set of Run Flats at the end of the lease when the dealer will say that the original tires are too worn out and you're responsible for it. I think by buying non-RFTs I will save some money (not to mention got a set of all-season tires) and still have a set of original RFT as spares and for when I will need to return the car in 3 years. Those RFTs will run you about $550 a piece, I definitely don't want to be buying a set of those for the dealer....
