Congrats!!! I just recieved an email from the dealer in Germany and I too will be pulling the trigger in the next few days...Im in Iraq so Im getting a great deal..they knock off $6000 from the base price and its tax free the bad thing is Ill be here until the summer of 2010 but my X6 wont go into production until May or June next year...so when I get home it will be at the dealer waiting for me...hopefully the wait wont kill me!

Its going to be a great car, certainly a great deal compared to what was available when they first came out. If music is important to you, you may regret not getting the premium sound package. Others have noted that active steering is a good idea if you are going to run wide tires on it. I've found parallel parking is a real challenge with the beast but, fortunately, seldom need to do it. Quicker steering would definitely help at low speeds.

on sound system, active steering. Active steering is not only useful when parking in tight spaces( have to parallel park a bunch) but also nice at speeds above 100. |

I test drove cars with and without active steering and just didn't like it... and as far as the sound system goes that wasn't a big deal for me either I took the sound system out and added the performance upgrade.

Your color combo is fantastic (almost as nice as mine )
Love the 50i -- killer noise from the exhaust and a blast to drive too Only thing I would have added is the stereo upgrade - do it if you still have time.. BTW -- I love my X6 - congrats on yours!!
