Just thought I'd share a couple photos of the new truck. We traded in our 2013 X3 xdrive 35i for this because there just wasn't as much space as we had anticipated (2 young kids). I did have to convince my wife that the M variant was much better for us.

I like the Stig family. I need that, but a dog instead of a kid.

Why would you get an X5M? Horrible gas mileage with todays prices, no thanks.

Although it looks great. I went with midlevel trim E70 X5. Gets good gas mileage as opposed to my M3 and it hauls shit around. I guess since the new X5M is coming out these would be a steal and much cheaper than say 2 years ago.

Good color none the less. Welcome to the family.

Because I can't stand driving boring cars (even if it's just to the grocery store). I hated driving the X3 and the standard X5's aren't very exciting either. Neither my wife nor I have any sort of daily commute so gas isn't really an issue. The best part about the X5M is my wife can drive it comfortably like a normal X5 (only with better brakes), and I can have fun with it too when I need to go somewhere I don't want to take the M3.

Sounds good and I agree the X5 non-M is boring. lol

I like it for snow duty though. Its outstanding. Winter is coming again and M3 is getting ready to sleep.

Well I'm just weird. Most people would rather drive a low maintenance, cost saving daily driver so they don't put miles on their fun cars. I want to drive a fun car even if it's just taking my kids to school or getting groceries.

Nice....

To me its a toss up between my M3 and X5. The X5 interior IMO is much nicer than my M3 but I use my cars for specific purposes. Snow/Rain/Hail/Lugging duty for the X5 and weekends and playtime is M3.
