As with most middle distance runners - I was slender to begin with. After the first week on campus, I had lost another 10 lbs...

The team nutritionist put me on a 8,000 a day calorie diet - Fish, chicken, and as much Carbs as I could consume...no red meat.

We had a Krispy Kreme donut shop on campus - to carb load the day before a meet, I would eat 2 dozen donuts...in one sitting.

I have no idea what I'm going to get. So far I've checked out a Cannondale, Trek, and a Gary Fischer I think it was. They told me to stay 3000 kcal (3000 food cal). I was carrying enough energy around.

Some speed work days - we'd run repeat intervals (typically a mile loop) and every other lap was at pace - anywhere between 4:45 and 4:30, then the next lap was a non-resting recovery lap - 6:00.

5/5 set-up, with a short jog back to campus.

As soon as the coach's left practice - I'd hit the Gym for another 2 hours of pick-up basketball...

Well, the good news is that we are spending only $27avg/mo on water bill. It is a huge savings during summer.

I dunno... We're going through a drought now and my rainwater washing was me trying to do my part on conservation, and the last time I paid any water bill was in 2008-09 when I actually briefly enjoyed the ecstasy (and agony) of home ownership when I'd rent the other times, and even then I am struggling to remember WTF I paid, but even then I still conserved within reasonable territory.
