Sounds like injectors need to be replaced and plugs, with that kind of mileage. Also what octane fuel are you running?

+1 on the plugs.

Dynos have shown that power starts to drop off after 25k on a set of plugs with these cars.

If you are in CA don't you have only 91 octane as well? Try getting the injectors swapped out and put some VP street blaze fuel in. That fuel is expensive but for the 5 gallon drums it sure is the most fun you will have burning gas.

I am running Chevron 91 fuel

Should comprehensive ext warranty do injectors?

Whats the deal with needing injectors at 50k? Do they gum up or fail mechanically? How expensive if i do it myself?

How do i get the dealer to agree its not "fast enough"?

Thanks for the tips do far!

Nice to know i have some local X5M guys! I left the car at the dealer i bought it from....it was a factory car until 13k then was sold....doubt anyone would detune that right?

I should hear back next week as its going to BMW for the upper gate that auto opens but won't close and the power.

Anyone else in the bay that wants to Dyno on a mustang? I'm sure i can get discounts!

I'm in Southbay and have another buddy in Eastbay - both with '13 X5M's. Let me know if you want to go for a drive. Good luck with your power issues.

I would like to go for a drive, espically in a dyno'd truck.

I think i will end up keeping it because of the options, condition, ect...

Was a "BMW Factory Car" per carfax until 13k mi

Then sold to one owner before me with carfax showing all maint, just had new brakes too....

Seems like a well cared for truck with just a front bumper repaint...all cars, a few years old seem to have them...it was done well snd matches right on..

Thoughts about trying to find someone to look at my computer settings now to see if they look right, then do a tune...80hp / 120tq will put me 500hp and 530-540tq at the wheels i think i would be happy as all helll

Hello, everyone. I called the shop that I'm familiar with FineLine Imports. It's in Santa Rosa. They offered to put on a Dyno day at their shop. Ten Vehicles three dyno pulls.. 85.00 each car.

OP doing a tune will make a big difference. I have had the ability to run Dinan, ESS and now currently VELOS in my X5M.

I have been meaning to do a review on the three.

My recommendation is that if you want the most aggressive tune out there VELOS is the one for you.

This tune kicks you in your pants and from 60-130 it pulls like a freight train.

The Dinan and ESS are both very solid. Dinan is the most conservative in my opinion. ESS being a step up and VELOS being the mid range monster.

VERY curious to hear more of your thoughts on the three tunes. I'm itching for MOAR power! Velos might fit the bill but I want to make sure it is really worth getting before jumping ship.

It's a Mustang dyno. We can invite any bmw owners that are down.
I guess I'll start a dyno day thread. Proper with a count down to ten.
