I can see a whiter light against my old Xenon's, the light power is almost identical, but I see it makes a wider light beam, you can see more on the right and left side of the road.

Being honest, the real gain is more on the "new look" side, and updating the front face.

I really love the way daylight driving feature looks, it is really a great upgrade for me since I'm not planning to change my car for quite some time.

"BMW NA will not Support the Upgrade!!"

I have a 2013 X5M and I didn't get this option when I order my X5M because I order the Adaptive package for $1900 instead of LED lights. So I called BMW North America(BMWNA) about adding the lights since this is an option on 2013 X5M? I told him I will pay the cost of lights and the price to install and new software update. After I had talked to everyone my case got elevated to the senior level. Do anyone on Board now someone I can talk to get this done, don't want to void my warranty, need approval from BMWNA ...THEY SAID NO! Listed below is the e-mail I got from BMW NA:

Good morning Mr. Dale:

Our corporate engineer revisited this matter after reviewing the link your sent. His position has not changed from the below response. He stated we do not have a retro-fit, and as such, BMW NA does not approve the change in headlights, which if not done properly could have a negative effect on your warranty. As discussed the part numbers are as follows:

Headlight, LED technology, left – 63 11 7 359 371

Headlight, LED technology, right 63 11 7 359 372

With regard to the LED pricing, we’re unable to provide any assistance in this regard.

Kind regards,

Bill Stuart

BS. There is an official retrofit document for this and an official retrofit package. They are just blowing whistles here...
