Bilstein B8 shocks with H&R 2" drop?
Hey guys, i plan to lower my X6 50i but i'm still trying to decide between the H&R 1.2" or 2" drop. I have the stock 20" 214 wheels with Nitto Motivos. I have read that the 2" drop has a terrible ride. I have come across many posts and threads with people having installed both the 1.2" and 2" coils but it seems like they are still using the factory shocks.
Has anyone done the Bilstein B8 performance Plus shocks with the H&R 2" drop? How does it ride/perform? |

I don't personally have them, but I have inquired about the H&R drops, and I browsed a few forums where people talk about them, but the feedback I have seen is that they ride better then stock, and it really improves the handling.
I have never heard of anyone going wrong shock wise when they choose Bilstien shocks. Do those shocks specify a height range? I would hate for you to get them, and then blow them out because they are running lower then they were designed to.

The bilstien B8 are made to be used with lowering springs, but doesn't say how low. I think they should be fine. Not sure if i will go with the 2" or 1.2" yet. http://www.bilsteinus.com/products/p...formance-plus/ |

I thought the 50i had a different suspension? I know they have different brakes to the 35i.
Eibach makes drop springs for the e70?

I knew about Eibach's, I just forgot. Sounds like the rear drop on the Eibach's doesn't go as low as it should to make it close to flat, or just a little rake. Vogtland may be coming out with something soon as you see.

Vogtland's seem to be listed at a 35mm drop (1.37795") they are for sale, if you considered them an option mod bargains.com has them for sale, but the forum seems to be bleeping out the websites url, to where it doesn't work.

I believe the intention of all 3 of the spring manufactures is to increase performance. If I had to bet, I believe all would be successful at improving performance. You don't like H&R, or Vogtland?
