I order it in last week of June and have a production slot for my 5.0i in July 21 and delivery is scheduled last week in September. It's a long wait for us in Europe (Sweden).

If they are all season, than BMW refers to them as 'All-season'!

For example: the 19" tires are all-season run-flat tires and are all the same on the front and the back. The 20" (style 259 and 214) are mixed summer run-flat performance tires. That means that the front are narrower than those on the back and that these are only recommended for summer driving. They are still run-flats though!

Hope this clears it up for you
xdrive,
thanks I've always use "staggered" and was confused by the "mixed". now if i could just get my 50 a month sooner....

I ordered my (nearly) loaded 35i on May 22. It was originally scheduled for week 28. It then got bumped to week 30. I was anticipating a late July/early Aug delivery. I called BMW today for an update - the buid has now been delayed to week 37 (Sept)! No explanation, other than 'these things happen' and 'we don't guarentee any build date'. My Phaeton goes back to VW end of July. I am not a happy camper. This happen to anyone else?

Wow! I have the exact same production slot and am supposed to received before the end of July. Sure takes a lot longer going overseas!

Oh no! I better check on mine then. Earlier this week it was in 112 status and hopefully not the same problem. Then again your order was also for 35i. I wonder if they are now delaying 35i production to get the 50i's off and rolling. I am assuming that your order will now be an '09 model? If not, I would surely wait for an '09 at this rate

BMWMC, do you know anything about this?

I am pissed because I just checked the status with my dealer today and he told me that because I just added on Heads-Up display this week that my production got bumped from week 30 to 32 which means mid-August delivery instead of end of July.

That is upsetting and if it is delayed any further I may drop my order and wait until '09 production starts. There comes a time when I have to pull the plug and wait for next year model since we are already so late into the year and based on the fact that my dealer is making me pay almost full msrp price.

My 5.0 was ordered on June 19th , Just received word from dealer today (07/17) that it was scheduled for production. I went to owners circle and entered my production number ( which in the past showed a 335) and lo and behold it shows my car with all the packages , exterior color and interior. The little bar thing says "01. Schedule for Production" , so progress.

Has anyone bought the extended warranty ? if so why or if not why not ?
just curious.
