Cobb is a great company. Haven't seen anyone on here running that tune though so I'm not sure how good it is on this platform. Honestly I'd go for Velos best value hands down. Can't go wrong with dinan either, I love it and its nice having peace of mind that if anything goes wrong I can drive to the dealership as is and get it sorted out at no cost. Sucks that they have't made downpipes for the M so I'm considering jumping ship to Velos this spring.. We'll see. I'd skip the the throttle remapper, had it on my e70 4.8i and it did improve throttle response (though that car only made 350hp) but I don't see the need for one on the M esp with 600+hp on tap. In m mode throttle response gets sharpened up nicely and I like having it less aggressive when its not on.

The sluggish throttle on my 2011 X5 50i (Dinan Stage II, w 506 HP) has bugged me from the start, and I would love to hear more about the first 2 throttle mods!

So if I do get a tune or whatever what do I do if I have to take it to BMW? Because doesn't this void my warranty?

If you have a handheld tuner (like the one Velos offers) you can flash back to stock when you go in for services. If you have a major problem that involves info from your car to be sent to BMW NA though I've heard that they can tell if the car has been flashed.. takes a lot to get to that point though.
