Just slide in a dental floss and pull that out. There are 2 plugs on each of them.

Have a look at this thread:

http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157757

Here are the part numbers again:

SIDE MARKER REFLECTOR LEFT: 63 14 7 187 087
SIDE MARKER REFLECTOR RIGHT: 63 14 7 187 088

See below for item number 2!

Name: X6 Side Marker Reflector left.jpg
Views: 3946
Size: 230.7 KB

You can just make out the two parts that hold the reflectors in place. Hope this helps.

Sorry, that picture shows a couple of different parts. You only need the side markers!

You also do NOT need a screwdriver unless you are removing other parts.

This picture is from the parts catalog. I only posted it for reference.

Where did you get the side markers from if you don't mind me asking?

I was wondering if anyone had done this yet. I picked up a pair of silver reflectors , here is what the back really looks like.
I'm not so sure it's going to be that easy to remove old ones just using dental floss.

update : yup was very easy with dental floss.

Extremely easy! Take less than a minute on each side. You just have to pull out the side with the metal clip then the other side will slide out easily. They just pop the new one in.

If I remember correctly, the clips are toward the front. But to make sure, you can use the new one as reference. You can use the shape of the reflector and distinguish which is for which side. I used dental floss and loop them 3-4 times so it's strong enough for the "pull" job.

Can you post a picture with the silver reflector? Best if you can do a before/after so we can see same car under same lighting conditions.

Simon,

Is your car Mineral Silver? If so, can you post a pic after you change the side marker so I can see how it would look on mine?

I just installed my sidemarkers. Actually, the clips are on the rear. It took me longer than a minute as previously state (more around 20 minutes) but that is also b/c I thought the clip was in the front. Dental floss works but I also needed a toothpick to get the dental floss around the reflector.

Aside from eBay, can anyone recommend a good place to purchase these reflectors (front, rear, right & left). I have a 2011 X6M and I'm a bit nervous about purchasing ones for the 2010 X6. The body kit it a bit different so I'm uncertain as to which ones to buy. Does anyone know if the X6 ones fit the X6M and/or the 2010 vs 2011?
