What's up guys! This past Monday I recently picked up a '12 x5m after lusting over them for the past few years. I'm 25 and have had 30+ cars and since the x5m came out it's always been on my "list" and I have loved every second of this thing, even more than my e90m!

Just in the week I've owned it I've purchased a couple of mods. I picked up a set of Airrex struts and am currently working on figuring out a wheel setup and a trunk setup. Black wheels are NOT my thing, unfortunately. Even more so with a black vehicle. So the cosmetics are definitely being dealt with first! Having the right stance on these makes all the difference and there's so much inspiration on this forum that I had to make sure I posted a build thread as well!

Fair warning though, I don't have a fancy camera only my 7+ so this will be mainly of random pics that I Snapchat and put on IG.

I also plan to do the usual bolt-ons (downpipes, tune, intake) and if time permits (I never keep anything long ) definitely going the pure stage 2+ route!!

Thanks all. No, it didn't come with the stock wheels unfortunately. Actually today right after I posted this thread I actually took the 5m to BMW to get serviced. Turns out the dealership I bought it from lied to me about the car being cpo'd. I'm beyond pissed and returning the car (the only reason I bought this was because of said warranty) so now I'm back on the hunt and I'm already having withdrawals from not driving my truck. Stay tuned!!

your going to have a hard time finding a CPO x5m with the safety recall issues. BMW is not allowed to resale the car until the fix is implemented.

Honestly, I don't have to have a cpo'd car. I'd rather have an aftermarket warranty that just covers whatever I break :P

Also couldn't find anyone that would provide a decent aftermarket warranty..the car would need to be under some factory warranty in order to provide me an aftermarket one. Let me know if you do find one

Soo I'm back (with the same SUV) they gave me an aftermarket warranty so now I can do cool stuff like slap these downpipes and tune on that's coming this week!! haha

Put the stage 1 tune on.. man this thing is seriously fun haha I've already got downpipes being made and I'm figuring out what to do with the exhaust. I don't really see a sense in paying for just an axle back, yet I don't feel it's necessary for me to pay $6,000+ for an Akropovic. As much as I'd like to, maybe when I upgrade to the F85. So I'm debating having a custom one made or a waiting out for a used one.

I also have the LED headlights on the way as well!! Along with that I've been mapping out in my head how I'm going to do my trunk setup. Ideally, I'd like to keep it hidden where the spare tire would be. At any rate the parts are in the mail so I'll begin sharing mock ups with that soon as well!
