CODING = Custom features

So I finally got around to coding some features on my new X5. Here's what I added:

DVD in motion, yes my passenger can watch movies while driving down the interstate

Comfort eject- Ejects the key if inserted when pressing the stop button. Also unlocks your doors so no more double pull to get out.

Roll windows up and down with the remote, or with comfort access by touching the door handle

Fog lights on when headlights turn on or with auto lights

Rear hatch opens and closes with remote and with button on dash

Fogs stay on with highbeams

Mirrors fold in when locked and unfold when unlocked, thru fog or CA

Digital speedomter

Removed the Idrive disclaimer at start up
Double blink hazards

here's my link if you wanna code your E70

In which site and forum? I cannot find this. Thank you. Can you post the entire link "in English".

That's great.

So, no changes required for 2011 - do as you described for coding 2012?

If you have all the software for a 2012, you can code any previous years.

And did you see the list of new daten files!? I assume you definitely need that for '12 coding, because they said you need it for '11.

skalberti, did you download all these since you have a '12?
I can't find a topic specifically for E70... Do you need to be registered?

My daten are v.41, if you follow my post everything you need to download for your vehicle is in one place. The link you posted just has the basic software for all cars. It's not specific to the E70. So I search the web for everything and put it all in one place to make things easy for all the X5ers. Yes you have to register for access to the forum. It's free.

Thanks, no wonder it was not showing up any any search. I will register and review.
Hopefully we won't "brick" our X5's.

if you only do coding, it should not brick your car/module.

Does anyone know if there is a coding to put engine temp on the IP (11' E70 35d)? I gone through the KOMBI module FSW_PSW.TRC file and nothing jumps out. I already can access engine temp through the trip/reset button on the dash but that is inconvenient.
