Talking Led drl strips installed

Bought these off ebay for 250. Just got them installed today, the fit and finish is excellent they look completely oem. Had them wires so they stay on all the time. I think they look real sharp, enjoy!

Looks nice!, is that a 50i or 35i? Only reason im asking is if thats a 50i are you getting air flow towards your coolant radiator like the oem grill.

It's the hybrid and I did notice that the stock pieces had holes in the mesh. This one is solid, I may need to ask bmw if that's okay.

Quick question!

When you take off the original fog lights, wouldn't you be getting error codes?
I asked Brian Jessel BMW and they told me it is impossible for them to remove the error codes.

Not sure if it's true!

I didn't get any error codes. The only thing I did notice is that when you switch off the ignition, they flicker slightly due to the fact that the stock fogs dim. I'm pretty sure I can fix that once I have it coded.

Yeah it hooks up to the stock wiring. they come with a ballast as well. im not sure which wire was spliced into but they function as drl and not fogs. They stay on all the time and my foglight button no longer does anything.

Fair enough. I just like for my x6 to stand out from the rest and I've never seen one with the leds yet.

I'm pretty sure they will fit 09. I'll take some night shots showing how bright they are.

Sorry I am a bit confused.
I thought you have those LEDs wired to DRL, while your fogs are connected to nothing?
Why would they flicker due to the dimming fogs?

And it's odd that you are getting no fog light error code while it's connected to nothing..

Nice and clean set up regardless!!

That is odd I just realized that now. I'm assuming the fog lights are connected to nothing since when I press the button nothing happens. But yeah I'm not getting any sort of error or anything.

Just a fyi, i had these installed yesterday and you will receive an error code for both right and left fog lights. I had a friends shop install them, it seemed pretty straight forward. The original wires get plugged into a ballast box (you would think these are there to trick the system - there is only one connector per box.) then the new lights get wired into key on power so they turn on when you unlock and start the engine. I must say they look awesome and are very bright. I plan to to get it coded in the near future and will update.
