Problem with BMW Assist activation
Hi,
I just got a new 2012 BMW X5 50i and the BMW Assist service won't activate. In the various screens under the ConnectedDrive menu item, the "Activate service" option is grayed out and a "Network Unavailable" message is displayed. Plus, when I push the SOS button, the call is directed to our local 9-1-1 service instead of BMW Assist. I confirmed that my account is registered with BMW Assist and the dealer couldn't find the problem either. Any ideas what might be wrong?

Well if it says network unavailable and doesn't call BMW, then it sounds like you should leave it at the dealer and tell them to get working on figuring it out - we don't know doesn't seem like an acceptable answer from the dealer!
