new X5 owner

Hi - just got our X5 yesterday. it is a beauty - had a noob question as it's been awhile since I bought a new vehicle - does the X5 come with carpeted floor mats? I asked and the dealer threw in some rubber ones, but there was just the carpeted floor underneath. thanks!

they usually do come with carpeted mats and they actually upgraded you to the better ones!

thanks for the response. I didn't realize it was either the cloth or rubber as the sales guy just informed me, but thanks for the info!

ALL X5s, including the M do NOT come with carpeted floor mats standard. Imagine the surprise when I found that out after closing the deal on my X5M. Most dealers will just throw in your choice of mats anyway.

Mine came with carpet mats and also the all weather mats. I had them throw in the all weather mats to help save the carpet mats in the bad weather.

It's simple. Just tell them to throw in the carpeted mats for free. How cheap are they trying to pass the rubber mats by you?

My dealer told me that I would have to pay for the mats before I went to pick it up. I told him he needed to throw them in. He said ok I will throw the rubber mats in for free. I said no, you will provide the carpeted mats. He said, ok.
