X6 Prototype?

I'm a Land Cruiser guy and don't know BMW's. I saw this today and figured if BMW felt it was important to put tape all over the car it was important enough to take pics of it. I thought it was an X1 at first. The BMW plant is just down the road from me.

If it's not something new or important I'm sure the mods can just delete it. If it makes you all giggly inside please remeber if you see a new Land Cruiser with tape all over it please take some pics and let us know.

That power bulge on the hood is for the additional hybrid electronics, right?

It's always amusing to see these prototypes taped up. irrespective of brand. It seems the manufactures have some sort of strategy for their tape jobs, which I haven't a clue how to sort out the puzzle of what get taped and what doesn't.

But, then it looks (I could be wrong) like they have a small "EfficientDynamics" sticker on the rear passenger side door - go figure.

I think in this case it's because the hybrid is getting close to relase , 2010 I think. normally BMW does a good job of hiding what it realy looks like such as :

Mwahahahahaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaa! Putting tape on the BMW badge. .hahahahahaaahaha. as if nobody will figure out who the maker is!! From the body shape and front grill!. . . LooooooooooooooL. Who's the moron that did that?!

PS: I doubt that's the hybrid. Why more air from the hood for a hybrid?!?!!? It's the M, maybe.
