That Squeak!
After driving, Sav parked in garage, for about the next 2 hours, every so often you here a faint squeak that has a resonance to it...eeeeeek!
Is that the suspension that's bleeding off...Anyone know? I always notice it at night when I'm working around the car. Just curious! |

Sounds like something to do with the battery turning itself on and off and every time power is received, the fuel pump primes.
You should hear what a 335i sounds like when it's off. Random thudding every once in a while. |

Uh...Never here that ...why would the battery turn on and off if the car has been turned off?

When I unlock my 2012 35i, it sounds like air shocks filling up for about 5 seconds. I wonder every time. Also, the radio and wipers will not turn off unless I lock the car. Can't figure it out.

Spent about Two hrs in the garage tonight...waxing/rotating tires. After paying close attention I'm almost positive it's the suspension letting down.
I did another test. Open the door, ignition on, left ignition on for about 8-10 min...ignition off, laid underneath rear end, after about 5-8 min, rear end dropped quickly and dramatically about a half inch. Which brings up another question...rear end, center of axel and on top, forward of the shock there's a large shock/strut. Is that an airbag?, or do they just cover up the coil...if we even have coil's. Note: I have adaptive drive if it makes a difference. I should have taken a pic...I had the wheel off. |
