Any news on the 2012 40d for the NA Market?

Does anyone have any insights about the 40d coming to NA this year as a 2012 model, I have been waiting for the past couple months for this and if BMW would just say if they are going to release the vehicle or not would make my decision much easier

, if they aren't I'll get a 2012 35i the only thing thats holding me back from this is the fact that the 2011 35d hasn't been bumped to a 2012 yet when the 35i & 50i have been, which makes me think that the 40d is still possible for NA. If I do go ahead and get a MY12 35i and the 40d is released a month or so later I'll probably be very unhappy...

On the BMW Canada web site car configurator, an xDrive 40d badge is showing in the picture of the X5 when you select the 35d. Whatever that means.

ahahaha ya I have seen that, it feels like BMW is teasing us in some way

The bmwusa configurator also has a 40d badge on the door.

No 4.0d for the NA market. The changes for 2012 are only in packages.

Confirmed - no 40d

I am picking up my 2012 35d next Thursday at the PCD.
If it's power your concerned about then do what I did with my 2011 35d - Add the JBD chip to it and it will perform on par or better then the 40d
