Yes, and I believe he heard the right info, since these are internal info. So I must be one of the few fortunates that will still get an X6. . . .for a while.

Hey Deda, so over a few days you will receive your X6!! Sleepness nights i gues!!
Mine X6 will arrive sooner then planned . First it was end of February but now it's shifted to the beginning of Januari. Production will be in week 49.

Beste wwspiderbig,
Kreeg het vorige week te horen dat de produktie naar voren was verschoven, zou hem eerst eind februari krijgen maar nu is het 1ste week januari geworden.

I don't think that the Spartanburg plant will be closed in Jan 09, they produce the X3, X5, X6 and the Z4 there, I really don't think that's true, situation is tough lately but that's too extreme !
Anyhow, this is only my personal opinion, I will try to research about it.

Just received my X6 last week and dealer told me that plants will be closed for 3 to 5 weeks as they have to decrease their car production by 65 000 units.

Might explain all above rumors.

The only company that is sellin at the moment is AUDI!! They are sellin more than the last year!!
So what will happened with BMW?!?
Audi will move ahead!!
I saw the program for the next years for audi!!
2009 the next a8 wich they say it will be very good; only between 1650-1900 kg.
This means audi will rule from now on and that is not good!!
The world will come to an end!!

Don't be wrong, Audi is selling more because Audi sales are less than half of BMW sales, so it is difficult to increase sales in this rough times when you are # 1 in the Luxury market, if you see Audi sales in units against BMW group, you will understand what I'm talking about. I have an Audi Q7 ( my wife's car) and I use to have an A6 an A5, the problem I see with Audi is that all cars look alike, if you are inside de A6, A8 or de Q7 you feel you are in the same car, same dashboard, same steering whel........at least you buy an R8, that's another story.
I think Audi will keep growing but people are starting to feel that Audi's are boring cars to drive, believe me as a former owner, those cars are loaded with gadgets, extras great system sounds, etc etc, but how about driving experience, boring cars, nothing special, poor automatic gear boxes, poor handling even with Quattro transmission.
That is why I don't drive an Audi anymore.....that's why I'm back in BMW after my 2 M3's
