I know there are several sealants that say they are supposed to help against heat and such. Are you parking it outside? Any chance you can garage it at home, or a canopy? I will be back in TX shortly and hope to avoid that problem. Hope the dealer takes care of it for you.

We have hundreds of X5s and X6s here in this city in Doha (Middle East). Its currently about 110F and gets upwards of 125F at the peak of summer. I have NEVER seen that happen personally. I would take it to the dealer and ask. Surely they would have seen it before if its a regional temperature thing. I just wouldnt believe that is possible.

Damn son. I'm here in Houston too and have parked it on days where it's hotter than a cow on fire.... never happened to me. Hard to imagine that happening without it burning your hand.

Right on! Mine have been around for 2 years, and running strong...I just lift in them and some light cardio. Plan on getting another pair this summer. Great shoe! Good to know I'm not the only one that will have some gym shoes laying around the X5

Our X5 should be here soon, just waiting on the notice it arrived. This could be a cool thread..."What gym shoes are in your X5?" Be on the look out! Pics would be required. Time to start having some fun on this forum...too many folks are up tight!

This may be a long shot, but a while ago I read an article describing how some of the auto cleaning products contain solvents that actually destroy the integrity of some of the plastics used in the interior of the car, making them deteriorate partially or completely. Have you been using particular cleaning products on your interior for a while?

Wow. I too live in Pearland (Silverlake) and after reading your post have set up an appointment for Huper Optic tint. I had it on my M5 and it does "work" in TX heat.
