What kind of rotors did you go with? And what are you referring to by "low dust" pads? Is there a specific brand you recommend for those? Thanks.

I went with the drilled and slotted rotors from Brake performance. The brake pads are Akebono Euro Ceramic Pads (Premium) from the tire rack. No noise and very little brake dust.

Love the look of your x5.
Couple questions:
1. Are the rear wheels 335 rather than 325 like you posted? Having trouble finding that size. Also where did you get the 22" wheels?
2. Did you switch out your aluminum running boards? I have the aluminum but like the look of your black ones, how did you do that?
3. Did you do a roof rack delete? How is this accomplished?

That's so much!

Thanks eazy47. I had a typo on the rear tire size. 335/25/22 is correct. As for the running boards the X5 M sport comes with the painted running boards and the aluminum roof racks.

A little off topic, but how do you like the ride with the H&R springs?

I've been thinking about adding them myself, but have seen mixed reviews - some people seem to say they're fine, others says they're too bouncy or a really rough ride.

When i had the OEM 20in wheels with the H&R springs the ride seemed to be about the same. When i installed the 22in wheels of course the ride got a bit firm do to shorter side wall. I do not have the self leveling so maybe the springs in the rear may ride better then the air bags with adj links. No bounce and the X5 aligned up just fine. After the springs have settled the drop is about 1.5 inches. Bottom line.... No regrets here.

Thanks. I get the feeling a lot of the poor ride comments are from those with self-leveling suspension, as you can adjust the links to determine how much drop you get in the rear. I wouldn't mind a little stiffer ride, but if it gets bouncy that would be a deal breaker.

Cheers.

I bought the wheels and tires from Sedan Clan and was given one hell of a deal. Try Wheel Tech i believe you can get the set for about $2300.00 plus shipping.

The wheels are from Wheel Tech Tuning. They have an eBay shop. Most 22" sets are sold for around $2,100. That includes tires.

This is the only set of wheels I could find anywhere that are 22x10 front and 22x11 rear. Without ordering custom forged of course.

Anyone else finding the same?
