2013 X5 35d - Question
I just bought a new 35d - I thought I read someplace it had twin turbo-- when I look at the engine cover-- although pretty-- doesn't look like the cars 335 as example-- with TWIN POWER etc labeled on the engine cover..
is my 2013 35d twin power turbo>? It does state this on the window sticker.. yeah I know dumb question.. I did search tho =) |

They do write twin power turbo on the hood, even though the car doesn't have twin turbos. Instead, BMW implemented a twin scroll turbo, meaning that it has two phases: one for lower RPM and one for higher RPM. It should almost eliminate turbo lag. Here is a link describing the whole thing: http://www.autoevolution.com/news/bm...ned-50443.html

Yeah.. so TY for the replies.. was curious.. the twin power turbo is displayed on the window sticker- but not on the engine covers that Ive seen in say a 335 etc. really but for the 35d on the side.. it doesn't say diesel or turbo =)
