X5 passenger side exhaust valve
Any of you guys tried the golf tee/zip tie mod like they talk about in the X6 forum?? wondering if it really sounds that much diff or makes a change worthy of doing it

FWIW - I tried it last night, definitely notice a little rumble but felt less push from 1st gear 1-2krpm off the line.. dont know if my mind was playing tricks so i cut the ziptie and the low end torque came back. not a bad little tweak to the exhaust though.

had the same on the 335i and the exaust note was much better, and actually seemed faster....
so what side is it on the X5?

Passengers Side I believe... OP can confirm... Your right on the apparent loss of tq on the low end. I've had my flap completely removed. But a Tune more than makes up for that apparent loss...
