Arguably the two best tracks in F1, back to back. I have a feeling this could be curtains for a number of Ferrari folks if it goes poorly for them this weekend.

Already the last race in European, felt the Euro tour races had just started not long ago.

I am amazed that the teams allow these guys to do it contractually. Can you imagine if one of them blew out their ACL! What a shit storm. lol
Don't get me wrong; I'm glad to see them doing it, but am just surprised that in such a tightly controlled sport they're allowed to. |

Looking forward to seeing how the engines stack against each other, with little to no wing on the car.
Some have been saying the Red Bull has been peddling this idea that they are low on power. But really they just choose each weekend to use higher level of downforce than others on the grid, therefore hurting their straight line speed. |

Surprised to see McLaren in the top 10 in FP2 for an engine-dependent track with only 6 turns! Curious to see how they do in qualifying.
Ferrari used the remainder of their engine tokens for the season and it looks like Renault still have 21 at their disposal. I wonder what Renault are up to!? |

You know, seeing Alonso makes me think of how time has really flown by. I remember being at the USGP at Indy in 2006, and thinking how this guy was going to win 4-5 Championships easily. Now, ten years later, he hasn't won one since. He's also 35 years old now, so that window is closing/closing/closing.
Jeece time just flies by so quickly. |

I wonder why no one besides Mercedes and Haas is doing anything different with their rear wing. The advantage of the Mercedes wing seems pretty obvious.
Sauber did a little someting also.

F1 Teams' have different aero philosophies. It could be that Mercedes' and Sauber's ended up working well with that sort of RW design. It could also be that the team's have a list of upgrades opportunities to chase that require lower costs/development time (lower hanging fruit) compared to the RW design etc. etc.
