front and rear
The oil in your rear differential is considered lifetime by BMW. This does not mean you shouldn't service it. When a vehicle manufacturer refers to a component as lifetime, the time period is usually 100,000 miles. These one has 85000miles in it and havent had any issue or replace the fluid since new.
I jack support the front and rear of the vehicle with four jack stands. |

Above pics of front refill plug, I had to remove the front left tire (U.S driver side). You need long extension deep socket to do the job.
The prob with front diff, there are 2 aluminum tubes, one of the tube blocking, sittin right close to the the refill plug, its impossibe without removing or loosing the 2 of 10mm nuts holding the tubes, by removing, loosen the 2 screws you be able to fit your socket in it,, its tight spot but that is only the way.
