Having trouble replacing the turn signal bulbs
Hey all,
I know the instructions are easy, 1. Locate the bulb 2. Twist counter lock wise to remove the bulb But I have trouble twisting all the way to pull out the bulb. Somehow it feels like it stops turning after a quarter turn and I can't twist anymore and the bulb won't come out.... Any info will be appreciated |

Instead of continuing to try to twist the bulb cover/holder counter clockwise...when it stops at the 1/4 turn...pull (or pry) outward on the bulb instead of attempting to continue twisting. It may be slightly ceased due to dirt/dust/grime and need some gentle persuasion. If enough space develops pry with a flat head screwdriver to help push it outward.
If the bulb holder is like all of the bulb holders on my BMWs...there is usually 2 - 4 tabs that secure the bulb holder...and it only takes a 1/4 turn to lock/unlock the holder...then you pull the holder out. If it looks like this...then there is another tab that prevents it from being able to turn 360°: {cover/lid/holder} {bulb} Last edited by Qsilver7; 07-15-2017 at 07:34 PM.. |
