ORDERED: 2013 X5-35d

Hi All,

I came from an E90 (330i), then traded it for a 2007 M Coupe that I still have - and now I'm ready to move into an X5-35d! I've not made up my mind if I'm going to keep the M, but I'm super excited about my X5-35d lease with 15k miles/year:

- 2013 X5-35d
- Platinum Grey Metallic
- Oyster Nevada Leather
- Dark Bamboo wood trim
- Premium Package
- Premium Sound
- Sport Activity Package
- BMW Apps
- Running Boards
- Space saver spare

I have a user account on bmwusa, anyone knows how I can track the building stage? Do I need an order/VIN number from my dealership?

Here is my M coupe :

You will need either the build number or the VIN to track the build. I tracked my X5M as it was built. Pretty cool to see the progress.

You can see my order history here.

I had a build week in early December but my build started around 11/29. Completed by 12/5. Arrived at the dealer on 12/18 or 12/19 in Colorado.

I ordered my '13 x5 35i sav in April '12 and took delivery in 3 weeks from the day I oredered mines. I'm on the east coast (va) so i'm sure it will be sooner than west coasters. I also tried to do PCD in Greer but couldn't go when the car was ready so I did some research and got the "101 Experience" which i scheduled to do March 15 of this year. So I will be driving down with wife for the experience then over to Charleston to visit a friend and drive back. I should be getting my new Passport x50 black series RD today so I just need to figure out the hardwire install by then. Congrats on the Diesel!

The car entered production around 1/21 and the build was completed around 1/28. Ever since, the status is in Transit. My dealer just informed me the car has been transported to the west coast by train (arrived 2/7) and is still "at the port in LA" (for 5 days now) awaiting truck transportation to Seattle. My tentative delivery has been pushed out till next week Monday or Tuesday - pending arrival of the car at the dealer. I'm amazed about the whole process, BMW can make a car out of nothing in 8-10 days and then it takes up to 3 times as long for the logistics to deliver the car to the customer... In the mean time that is dead money / inventory... And an eagerly waiting customer... So far for making road trip plans for this weekend
