Which X5 to order?
So I've been reading the boards for months now trying to decide on a 35i or hopefully a 40d. After I got the report that it was still going to be a 35d for 2012, now I have to decide whether to order a 35i with the m sport, or wait for the 35d to start being produced hopefully with the 8 speed tranny. I wish you could get the m sport on the diesel, but since you can't I'm trying to figure which way to go. The 35d with better MPG but no Msport, or the decent MPG of the 35i with the Msport. Whichever I get will be burger tuned. My hang up on the Msport is the chipping issue. So my question to anyone who can answer, is this something the dealership should take care of before delivery? When I say take care of, I mean putting the clear protective film over the chip prone areas. Or will this be a cost and task on my own? Thanks in advance for your help.
