X5 Computer Programs

I have a 2005 X5 with the Computer. I discovered by accident the other day that when you push in left side selector stick that normally changes the computer variable being displayed in the instrument panel and hold it a few seconds a "program 1" message is displayed there and on the console. This message can be cycled by repeated pushes and it goes up through "Program 9" I went back and looked at all of my books and couldn't fingd anything obvious for what it is. I fiddeled with all of the computer functions an didn't see any way to change or program anything. Does anyone have an idea of what this funciton does - thanks in advance. Dave G.

Crickets! cold someone with an X5 try this and see what they get? next step is to bug the dealer. Thanks DWG
