Need help- hesitation issue when starting
I'm having a hesitation issue to startup on my 2009 x5 3.0i currently has 50,000 miles on it. Cold start is fine most of time but it always hesitates 3-5 seconds to start after parked 30 mins to one hour. There is no check engine light on so dealer is unable to diagnose the issue. Anyway dealer checked these parts under my demand.
Intake manifold Throttle body Injectors Plugs and coil Fuel pump Filters Battery All clean and not problem at all, I was pretty sure the dirty throttle body caused the hesitation but it's a dead end. Therefore I start to suspect the crankshaft position sensor, since there is no check engine light on, maybe only a part of it is fault? The crankshaft position sensor can't be test, so the only way to figure out is to replace it. Dealer quote 588 for the replacement. After all this, I really need help here, is anyone has the similar issue? Is there anything else I should look into? Thanks Last edited by Zige; 10-11-2014 at 12:24 PM.. Reason: Video updated |
