Service History?
Hey All. I'm about to make the jump from 325i to X6. I found one that interests me but the used car dealership that has it doesn't have (nor do they want to) get the service records/history for it from BMW. I have the VIN with me, is there anybody on this forum that could look it up and send to me?
PS. And I don't want to get from my local BMW dealership because I wouldn't be buying from them. |

just ask! Go down there during non peak hours and they might get you the info minus the last owners personal info! ps beware if the current owner wont help, used car dealership or not, If they have the pink slip they can get the info for you. Most probably has some issues then. Good luck w purchase!

I just bought my 2011 X6 50i a few weeks ago.. I looked up on the carfax where the buyer registered and contacted the local BMW dealer that sold the car.. I told them I was considering buying the car and if they wouldn't mind looking up the VIN... THey had no problems doing that and gave me all the details of every time the car was in... had a recent oil change and minor stuff initially.. car only had 20k miles when I bought it... keep in mind your not contacting the owner of the dealer... usually the service advisors are pretty cool.. if there not just call back... I just bought my son a used Honda and we did the same thing.. The folks at the Honda dealer were also very cool and gave us the cars entire service history...
I would't sweat it and just ask.. |
