Btw do you do remote coding by chance if we provided the obd cable?
Normally I do not. For me, it is just a hobby, not a business. I don't mind sharing the info with anyone, but don't want to turn it into a business of coding BMW's remotely, etc ...

I just bought my 2013 X6 50i. I want to change to the led headlights. Do I need the retrofit wiring harness for my model year? Would it be an easy plugin, recode, and play?

Yes, I did it all myself Coded all myself as well I can answer any question related to this retrofit, since I did it all myself. At first I was a little skeptical about it and asked my local BMW stealership for a price quote to install it. They refused to do it. It is not available in USA only in Europe. I am actually glad that they refused, saved me at least $1500 in installation fees
Hey brother sorry to bother u but I recall u said something about helping ppl out with questions about led retrofit.
So now it's the time I have everything wired as the last retrofit instructing with SA524.
Now I have some issues and errors on my screen saying that left and right turn signals aren't working properly plus adaptive headlights errors
So this is what OkEE codemycar told me

RSMC
LSMC
Adaptive headlight modules that are showing no communication.

Can u give me some advice about his issue since u already did it and everything is working just fine. Any help is welcome thanks very much

Did you code the FRM module with the new FA codes?

It all depends if you previously had adaptive option or not. LED retrofit allows you to add adaptive if you did not have adoptive before. It is in the instructions manual. Make sure that you FRM3 module is the latest or one before the latest part# (look in realoem)

It comes with 5 and 6. It does not come with 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, or 9. You also need 9 as one of the modules does not come with mounting hardware.

What I did for the corner light is ordered the cover, 4, but used bimmian's new led corner bulb. Bulb is awesome. No yolk look, bright amber when on, and no error codes. The last thing I was going to do was put an oem halogen bulb in my brand new $$$ led setup lol...

As per my PM, i think the issue most likely is that these headlights were never an option on a non-M X5. You may need to change your coding to make your car think it's an X6... maybe then the issues will go away

Ooooh! I didn't think of that.
That could be your issue since it appears that every other option has been exhausted.

Hello, I`m new to this forum and i have some question for you. Does the headlights and the tail lights would fit the e71, i mean i have x6 2012, and i want to make your upgrade but i have question would i have to change the whole bumpers etc, or will they just fit at the same place. I would not ask for coding now.. Thank you very much.

You will not have to replace the bumper. Both led headlights and tail lights will fit into place without any adjustments to the bumper.
