Smile 2014 BMW X5 5.0 M-Sport Lease Assumption

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I have a 2014 BMW X.5 5.0 M-Sport, fully loaded with the 3rd row seat (window sticker attached), that I picked up about a week ago, after waiting about 7 months. I love the interior and the drive, but I probably will go for a bigger SUV instead. The car is Carbon Black with the Ivory/Black Dakota interior.

This is a 30 month lease, and the lease assumption would go through BMW Financial. The payment is $1,211/month + tax. There are 30,000 miles/year.

Any questions, just ask.

So you waited seven months for an SUV only to sell it after a week of having it? Getting an Excursion instead I'm assuming?

It's a valid question. You're trying to unload a car after 1 week, and citing only size as the reason. Seems a bit shady, unusual at least, it's not like you didn't have time to assess the size.

It's not hard for me to imagine a scenario where circumstances or desires change in 7mos...especially buying a new model sight unseen.

Plus it's a lease, so you're dealing with BMW financial...not sending a check to a stranger.

Cut this guy some slack.

I don't think you can find many prospective buyers here, but you will find many members who spending time to questions your motive. Personally, i think it is non of your guy business, so stop debating as to why. GLWS

It's an odd scenario, plus that was your very first post on this forum. I think my question is 100% justified.

No one's giving the guy a hard time. And you're right, circumstances can change over 7 months, but we're not talking about 7 months. Didn't have to take delivery. It's about 7 days, not 7 months. That seems curious, so people asked why..

As to the "questioning your motives" comment, welcome to selling a car. Anyone trying to dump a car after a week should fully expect to be asked why or "what's wrong with it." To expect otherwise means you're just looking for a sucker. BTW, the OP did say "any questions, just ask.." So maybe everyone should calm down a bit.

Either way, good luck to the OP. Sorry the new car didn't work out for you.

I built it online to the specs he did his -- I think there were about 3 things left to get on this rig. At over $96k, I think I would've gone Range Rover Supercharged.
